Summary of Rubi
Rubi steals the fiancé from her millionaire friend Maribel, leaves her city and gets married in New York. Before getting on the airplane, the sister curses her and slaps her. Rubi drives crazy her gallant Cesar in the alcoves that spill sensuality and champagne. Her husband, who is an architect, has an accident on a construction, and all because of the decollate of Rubi! He is left disabled. Without money, the couple returns to Mexico city to face an old friend: doctor Alejandro del Valle. Rubi always loved him, but at that time he was poor. Now that he has money and still looks sexy, she waits for him in her apartment... Sexy, sexy, sexy! Doctor Alejandro is in charge of the operation of the husband of Rubi and fails when thinking about her, and how she says to him: "Kill him!" At the end, the doctor tries to strangle her, she flees from his claws and falls of the seventh floor of the Regis Hotel, where for months she didn't pay for her room... She is laying destroyed on the pavement! Rubi is taken to a hospital. She invents a new lie: she blames the doctor for the accident. This lie is only a pretext to see him again. Dying, she asks Alejandro to take of the bandages. She looks like a real monster and asks pardon for playing with the men feelings.

Esta telenovela sin duda alguna fue excelente. El elenco por decir que Fanny Cano goza de una increible belleza y talento como actriz aunque ya no este aquí. La historia es increible, romantica y tierna pero a la vez un poco escalofriante ¡Quien imaginara que bajo esa carita de angel Rubí esconde tanta maldad! El remake que viene para dentro de poco será un exito.... Seguro será excelente pues Rubí es una gran historia.

Corrigiendo el comentario anterior, me parece importante mencionar que en la película, Rubí, interpretada por Irán Eory, a pesar de ser una actriz rubia, sí aparece con cabello negro...

Iran Eory estaba recién llegada a México cuando hizo la película y se le notaba mucho el acento español, su voz en la cinta la dobló Norma Lazareno.

Durante los ochentas se planeaba hacer una nueva version de Rubi, protagonizada por Angelica Chain, pero nunca se materializo.
