Summary of El Alma No Tiene Color
Blonde and beautiful, Guadalupe Roldán is a pawn in a deal between her family and the del Alamo family to save her father, Don Humberto Roldán, from financial ruin. She is forced to leave her boyfriend, Luis Diego Morales, a local teacher of modest means, and marry Lisandro del Alamo, a wealthy and powerful man she feels she will never love. Lisandro tells Guadalupe that she'll grow to love him and over time, after Guadalupe realizes how sincere and understanding a man Lisandro is, she develops strong feelings for him. When Guadalupe becomes pregnant, Lisandro thinks he is the happiest man in the world. But when her child turns out to be a dark-skinned girl, Lisandro is disgusted and abandons Guadalupe, accusing her of adultery. Don Humberto coerces Macaria, Guadalupe's black nanny, to keep Guadalupe's real parentage a secret, and Macaria is unable to tell Lisandro that it is ancestry and not adultery which is responsible for the baby's color. Guadalupe, it turns out, is her own daughter. Ana Luisa, Guadalupe's physically and emotionally disabled cousin who has always been jealous of her, steps in when she finds out that there are marriage problems between Guadalupe and Lisandro, and she manages to force Lisandro to marry her. Guadalupe, who was able to save her father from total ruin, is unable to save herself. Her life is branded by the stigma of a secret, a truth that no one should ever hide.

Acá estamos en presencia de una de las telenovelas de más baja calidad que se hayan producido alguna vez en México. De partida, la historia era HORRIPILANTE, aparte de archiconocida, mientras que del reparto se rescataba sólo a esa señora de la actuación que es doña Ofelia Guilmáin. Arturo Peniche, como de costumbre, PESIMO como galán, mientras que Laurita Flores no convencía a nadie con su papel de heroína y mártir. Un fiasco de telenovela en todos los sentidos.

Arturo Peniche fue despedido de la novela mucho antes de que dicha historia llegara a su fin. Nunca se supo los motivos, pero habian rumores de que Arturo Peniche tenia problemas de alcohol y drogas, que llegaba tarde a las filmaciones, y que habian diferencias creativas con el productor de la novela. Despues de la salida de Arturo Peniche, Osvaldo Sabitini se convirtio en el nuevo galan de la protagonista, a pesar que inicialmente habia sido llamado para interpretar un papel secundario.

Esta novela tiene un buen mensage sobre gente de color y tambien decirle no al racismo.

Me encanto la telenovela, Celia Cruz aunque la actuacion no es su fuerte, estubo fabulosa, la historia fue lago distorcionada por Alberto Gomez, llegando hasta a dar la impresion de que no sabian que mas agregarle, pero las actuaciones del exelente elenco garantizaron el exito de esta producción, nunca vi el final... por que decidi poner yo mismo el final en mi mente y recordarlo así. Seria bueno que se incluyan mas telenovelas sobre gente negra, pero como protagonistas, por que los negros tenemos mucho que contar.

No me acuerdo mucho de esta novela pero si me gusto asi tambien Laura Florez y Lorena Rojas quien me parece una gran actriz, tambien me gusto la niña quien se veia que tenia futuro como actriz y sobre todo la especial actuacion de Celia Cruz quien ya no se encuenta entre nosotros sin embargo tambien va a dejar grandes recuerdos en la actuacion.

Un verdadero churro de Juan Osorio, lo rescatable: Doña Ofelia Guilmain cuando le rope en la cabezota una licorera de cristal a Lorena Rojas y encima de todo le mete de plomazos. Existe un video de post produccion del programa FURCIO en el cual Lorena Rojas al hacer esta escena se desmaya pues el golpe que se llevo si le saco sangre, Doña Ofelia Guilmain ya no sabia como disculparse con la Rojas que estaba botada a medio foro sin poderse levantar.

Awful! I don't remember the whole novela, because it was years ago when I saw it, but what I do remember was that it was a depressing story with inconsistent characters. I'm a big fan of Rafael Rojas, but the character he played in this story has got to be one of the worst... because he started out fine, and then they turned him into a villain overnight. Then, the leading man had to die and the leading lady was left with no one at the end. How ridiculous.
