Summary of Cuando Seas Mia

Paloma is a migrant worker at a coffee plantation, but she doesn't plan to stay one forever. In her spare time, she reads and dreams about the day her Prince Charming will arrive. Upon the death of Don Lorenzo, the well-known coffee magnate, his heirs descend on the "Casa Blanca". Among them is Diego, Don Lorenzo's grandson, who is expected to take over the plantation after he finishes his studies. Diego and Paloma believe they have found true love, but first they must surmount all of the obstacles that a surname like Sanchez Zambrano can bring. In the greed-soaked environment that surrounds the ownership of the "Casa Blanca", only love can save Paloma and Diego.

This is the best telenovela aired in Croatia ever! And we had many telenovelas from 1994 until now, such as "Rosa salvaje", "Esmeralda", "La usurpadora", "La jaula de oro", "La mentira" and much more, but this is the best ever! It's so perfect, the acting, the dialogues, the chemistry between Paloma and Diego, beautiful actresses as Anette Michel and Martha Cristiana, the legendary "chocolatito" or Harold, the terrible Miguel, evil Fabian, smart Daniela and la abuela... They are all perfect! The only part I did not like is the Matildes madness that is very badly done, and very boring... But I can forget that, because the telenovela is really great!

Great telenovela. I am still watching it and I think I will watch it for some time but I enjoy it. Paloma and Diego are such a great couple. They really deserve to be happy!

The plot was very good, but not excellent, most of the characters were pefectly done by the actors, ex. Rodrigo Abed did his job just great, villians like him are the ones that make a story interesting; Evangelina Elizondo, well what can I say about her, she's just great; I really admired Sergio Basañez's work; Sergio de Bustamente is a great actor, thus I think he looks better as a villian; Silvia was not the best but I liked her performig in a great percent, the story, as I said before was nice and interesting. Now it's being repeated, and I've seen details that I didn't see during the original transmission, congratulations!

Silvia Navarro sings "Paloma Negra" in many episodes of the novela. Lola Beltran is heard to sing the song only in tapes, Silvia sings it in some scenes. Also Sergio Basañez sings "Como Quien Pierde Una estrella" as well (in episode 92).

I love this telenovela as much as all you do. It makes me proud that its seen all over the world and that it is from my country. The American telenovelas don't come close to the quality of the actors, writers, and directors of this telenovela. Silvia Navarro, Sergio Basañez, Rodrigo Abed, Anette Michel, Martha Cristiana, and all the other cast members are first class actors and put their heart and soul into their characters. This is one of the best productions ever and it defenitley made a name for itself. No other telenovela can top this one.
