Summary of Desencuentro
Raised lovingly in the lap of luxury in Queretaro by her widowed father, Alfredo, and her nanny Julia, Victoria San Roman is about to be married to her boyfriend, Sergio. But her fairytale life comes to an abrupt end when her father dies in a car accident, leaving her orphaned, penniless and alone, because Sergio's uncle forces him to break off the engagement upon discovering that the San Romans were bankrupt. The last thing Victoria heard her father say before he hit the road was "Andres Rivera is not going to destroy me!" and because of this, Victoria suspects that her father's death is somehow connected to that man, a ruthless businessman in Mexico City. With her life in ruins, Victoria heads to Mexico to investigate her suspicions, and also to rebuild her life. There she meets Luis, a goodhearted widowed firefighter with a young daughter, Maru. They fall in love, but her investigation brings her into proximity with Andres Rivera, and she inflames him with a passion that he has not felt in a long time.

Tuve el placer de disfrutar de la telenovela Desencuentro, durante este ano de 2002,
la que concluyo ayer l9 de sept. Tengo que comentar sobre la calidad de cada artista y
como realizaron sus roles. Daniela, se la comio y Ernesto, increible. Juan, como decimos
en P.R., un "General", ademas de todo el elenco, sin dejar a Alma Muriel, que
estuvo increible en su Papelazo. Quisiera hablar de todos pero es imposible. Para Juan,
por mi abuela, siempre supe que era el malo de la novela, pero que artistazo, se la comio
cruda y sin sal. Juan Ferrara, hizo un super Rol, lo que espero en la vida real, no sea
tan alculado. Y, para Danielita, me goze el super Papel y actuacion. Rei y disfruto partes
cuando Ernesto, Bombero realizo el Papel, pues tengo el Rango Honorifico de Comandante de
Bomberos en el Cuerpo de Bomberos de mi pueblo, Ponce, P.R. Ah, a Maria Victoria, que
linda es y que bueno lo sigue haciendo. Dios les bendiga ricamente a todo el elenco.

This show is horrible. I was hoping it would be more americanized or had less soap opera and more prime time quality, but it ends up being like any other tv novela. Shows lack in substance where it is too dramatic to connect to it. I wish someone out there would make a good novela to rival prime time shows. Please, take this off the air!

THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST NOVELAS I HAVE EVER SEEN. IT MAKES ME FEEL SO GOOD TO WATCH IT. ITS GOT EVERYTHING. I LOVE THE CAST AND ESPECIALLY MAKES ME HUNGRY, THEY ARE ALWAYS EATING AND SHARING SUCH GOOD MEXICAN FOOD.. YUMMY. I LOVE IT. I STAY UP TILL 2 AM TO WATCH IT. NEVER MISS IT. I HOPE IT COULD GO ON FOREVER. I WANT DANIELA CASTRO TO MAKE MORE NOVELAS SOON WITH JUAN FERRARA AND ERNESTO LAGUARDIA. I THINK IN REAL LIFE DANIELA CASTRO SHOULD HAVE MARRIED ERNESTO LAGUARDIA. THEY MAKE A GREAT COUPLE. YOUNG AND VIBRANT.

I love this novela. This is my second time watching it. The music is beautiful and I enjoy Daniela's acting qualities and Juan Ferrara makes my heart melt--he is so masculine--sorry Ernesto.

Estupenda producción del señor Ernesto Alonso, basada en una interesante y entretenida historia de la señora Caridad Bravo Adams y del señor Luis Moreno, que, además, contara con un magnífico reparto: Daniela Castro, Juan Ferrara, Ernesto Laguardia, Alma Muriel, Juan Peláez, Emilia Carranza, Luz María Jerez, María Eugenia Ríos, María Victoria, Roberto Antúnez, Maty Huitrón, Ofelia Guilmáin y Aarón Hernán, entre otros. Por cierto, Daniela Castro no lo hizo tan mal interpretando el tema central de esta telenovela, pero, sin lugar a dudas, ella es mejor actriz que cantante. FELICITACIONES.

I LOVE DANIELA AND JUAN FERRARA -- THEY'RE SUPERB ACTORS, SUBTLE AND POSITIVELY GORGEOUS IN EVERY WAY. ALTHOUGH I HAVE HIGH REGARD FOR ERNESTO, I THINK HE IS TOO YOUNG AND IMMATURE FOR THE LIKES OF MS. CASTRO -- JUAN FERRARA, ON THE OTHER HAND, IS A REAL MAN, AND TRULY UP TO THE CHALLENGE! I HOPE THAT HE AND DANIELA CASTRO WILL DO ANOTHER NOVELLA WHERE THEY ARE THE PRINCIPAL LOVE INTERESTS -- WITHOUT THIRD PARTIES IN THE MIX! VERY ROMANTIC -- UNDENIABLY THEY ARE TWO OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL, TALENTED PEOPLE ON THE PLANET!!!

RECUEDO EL FUEGO Y EL AGUA EN LA PRESENTACION DE "Desencuentro", PERO AUN CUANDO ME GUSTO MUCHO CREO QUE SU DESEMBOLVIMIENTO NO FUE EL MEJOR. DICTA MUCHO DE LAS DEMAS SERIES DE DON ERNESTO ALONSO. ESA PARTE DEL CANCER DE LUIS ESTUVO estupida!!, no tienía ningún sentido en la telenovela, nadie se cura de cancer sin tratamientos y sin explicación (lo digo yo) y menos para luego morir calcinado. No se, realmente no me la perdía, pero repito, fue decepcionante.
