A priest shelters five children from the street: the little Juan, the delicate Federico, the violent Alonso and the teenagers: Damian ad Guillermo. Damian is the son of a widower who had arrived to Acapulco to make a fortune but was mistakenly arrested. Guillermo's father is an alcoholic millionaire, but his second wife took his money and kicked him out of the house. When Damian's father gets out of jail, he tries to help Guillermo's father, but he is robbed and killed, and Guillermo's father leaves the town with Guillermo. Before leaving, all the boys make a "pact of love", swearing to meet again after 15 years. But the time has changed them very much. Damian went to the jungle where he found a job and a fiancée, Federico became a great burglar, Alonso vents his violent temperament in the clandestine box and Guillermo is an alcoholic, just like his father.
