In the beginning of XX century the queen of Mexican society is Currita Albornoz de Lujan. Confident of her beauty, success and wealth, she acts without worrying to harm others. Curra has adulterer affairs, a lot of friends who envy and hate her, she despises her husband and neglects her children. Jacopo Tellez, who is her cousin, succeeds in dominating her, he tells he loves her because they are the same. Jacobo is separated from Elvira because of his passion for Curra. The civil Revolution bursts and with her children Curra escapes to USA, but her husband and friends die fighting on the front lines... After the hostility is over, Curra returns to Mexico to bring together her dissolute life. But time has changed and Jacobno's suicide is the signal that her decline has begun.
