San Martin de Porres was born in Lima in the XVI century. His father Hidalgo was white and his mother Ana was black. From his infancy Martin shows a great religious vocation and he wants to become a priest, but the color of his skin obstructs his dreams... But Martin becomes a layman at a local monastery. He is famous for his miracles, his saintliness, his kindness and his work. Frey Escoba was his name. It is the real story of the patron of mulattos and slaves.

Una extraordinaria novela, con una inigualable interpretación de René Muñoz en el rol protagónico. Novela biográfica muy instructiva y muy bien documentada. Fue vista con agrado por el pueblo peruano, muy devoto de san Martín. René Muñoz es el único actor que se parece extraordinariamente a la imagen que tenemos de San Martín de Porres. Díficil encontrar una similitud en lo físico como en el diseño del personaje tanto en Perú como en México, verdaderamente un personaje único, por lo cual ha interpretado varias novelas y películas del Santo Peruano de la escoba.
