Summary of Yo Compro Esa Mujer

thanks to Gianni Pinotti
The story begins in 1890, Rodrigo Montes de Oca asks Blanca Flor 's hand, but she refuses him because she falls in love with Enrique San Roman and she is pregnant. Matilde is Blanca's sister and she is in love with Rodrigo. She shuts Blanca in the jail of hacienda and kidnaps her son, telling Blanca that he died. Rodrigo, in his turn, shuts Enrique in the jail and, just like everybody else, thinks that Blanca died. After some years Rodigo marries Constanza, which makes Matilde angry. He has a daughter: Ana Cristina. In 1909 Ana Cristina returns from the European college and on the ship she meats Alejandro, a young, steady and a little arrogant man who kisses her against her will. Alejandro is Blanca's son in reality. After discovering her identity he decides to take a revenge on her and Rodrigo. Ana is engaged to Federico, a gambler and cheater but she doesn't love him. Alejandro meets Blanca, his mother who had succeeded to escape from the jail; she remembers her past but she dies from too many emotions and distresses. Rodrigo discovers that Matilde was guilty of Constanza's death and he sends her away from home and he agrees to Ana and Alejandro's union. Matilde gets mad, she tries to kill Ana Cristina, but Alejandro saves her and Matilde shuts Rodrigo in the jail. But she is betrayed by Alfio, her lover, who shuts her in the same jail. Then Alfio dies in an accident and the two are forgotten there. During the civil revolution, Alejandro marries Ana Cristina.

"YO COMPRO ESA MUJER" REVIEW

thanks to Héctor Orlando Rojas Toro from Casablanca, Quinta Región, Chile

It's a very nice story, I liked Matilde's strong acting, she was a villain actress in this novela, but she was showing how much she can give to be a great actress. As we know Alma Muriel is one of the best actresses. As for Leticia, I loved her looks, she was very charming!

This telenovela is one of the best I have ever seen. It has a great story line. I would love to buy the complete series if I could. I lived in Campeche in the late 1980's early 1990's and thoroughly enjoyed watching this novela while I lived there as an exchange student.
